Google Atmosphere 2010

Dave Girouard , President , Enterprise, Google Inc.

The president starts off by talking about cloud computing, he calls it big and disruptive. I have no idea what it is but it has something to do with the apps. Dave uses an example that helped me understand it more. I believe that cloud computing is when you have your entire hard drive per say.
He gives an example of how he lost his entire computer but didn't lose anything from it no data or productivity. Dave seems like he knows what he is talking about and really helped me, a person that knows nothing about Cloud Computing, to understand what it is and give examples. This is enterprise 2.0 at its best. they are basically selling a program that is revolutionary and new to Google.
The quotes helped a little to understand what cloud computing has in store. I'm assuming that the companies that were used in the quotes have already used Cloud computing. Im sure that Cloud computing is a bigger workspace and basically keeps everything that you have been working on and keeps it and accesses it from the Internet or database. If this is the future of business I am all for it. He explains the benefits, Cost savings, speed and innovation, but some benefits they have to work on is customization and fitting the specific business that uses it.
Trust is what he keeps on repeating because people are having a bit of scepticism and they did a poll and a little more than half the people had an issue with trust. He is basically selling Cloud Computing.

Enterprise 2.0

Enterprise 2.0 has to do with technology and concept in the work place. Me myself, I enjoyed the book and if i ever become a key component in a company or start my career I will suggest Enterprise 2.0 to my Company. It does seem complicated but again real easy. I'm sure its like a wiki in some ways and in some ways not. This business is all about growing your business and employing hard workers but the main thing is to make a profit. So I believe that Enterprise 2.0 really gets you to look at another side of technology.
My presentation was over chapter 7 and that is implementing Enterprise 2.0 and my chapter was the Six Organizational steps to implement Enterprise. I really understood it as it talked about slightly moving away from the old technology. Not just to delete the old ways but to better them and use them along side the new technology.

Presentation

In the book enterprise 2.0, my group has to do a presentation tomorrow on chapter 7. I am not nervous or anything I just feel like we always get nervous right before, but we always seem to pull through in the end and have a great presentation. I am excited honestly that it is our last presentation of the semester. What I'm not excited about is the fact that I don't know anything about the test that is coming up. I want to get a okay grade so study I will have to do.

10 Ideas for the next 10 Years

The 10 ideas are pretty accurate. Of course I had to do technology and The Boring Age as my article. In the article it explains how technology has not revolutionized much since great inventions such as the electric oven, the typewriter and the wind source and wood burning as heat sources. I believe that this is true in a way. We are still using the same technologies and have advanced but not to extraordinary conditions. The same applies to knowledge management , it is a great system and not have had many breakthroughs to come to the field.

STEP SHOW FEVER

Yay we have entered into another step show. We have been asked by Fisk Zetas to step in their place at the annual NPHC step show at TSU. Now we have to come up with a whole other them and we have done that but it is essentially our same step show from last year in which we placed 2ND, 2ND and 1st traveling and taking it to different schools. I wonder what we will get at this one. We deserve what we practice for and that is always number 1 baby. We are here to prove that Zetas can step and we step good. Not meaning to put myself in a stereotype of a Zeta, which is Zetas are Fat black ugly and country, But baby I am here to say I may be a Big girl but I can step with the best and out dress the rest..look good and feel good in my skin and Beautiful above all...so stereotype I know nothing of..being a Lady of Zeta is always above!! I love it I love it I love it!!

INFS 3500

I really have been sick for a week or two with stomach issues and have missed my INFS 3500 class for a week. It is a TR class so its only two days but I feel I've missed alot. I have to keep up with blogging and its hard for me... I try not to blame my illness but it really gets to me at times. Living with adult ADHD is kind of a challenge. I pravail I like to think everyday. making waves and changes and learning to live with it more everyday. I know that I can pass this course if I buckle down from here on out. Its getting kind of hard since my classes are wanting more and more out of me as we draw to the end of the semester. Can my mind keep up with the request. Only time can tell!!

My New Baby

Okay so yay for me I have a new laptop... It has been a minute or two since my computer got stolen when I got robbed a year ago so I feel this is a major step up. Of course my babe got it for me and installed Windows 7 on it so its practically brand new with a new hard drive....the only problem is that I have to start from scratch with installing all the programs I need that are on my desktop. I had to install itunes and firefox and microsoft office.. It was a real headache for sure. But I am pleased with it and can start to be more mobile when I'm doing homework. Being a CIS major i need all the technology I can at my finger tips!! Oh an my new babies name is STAR......I love it!!

Epic Fail for Finance

Okay so I overslept for my finance exam so that is an epic fail and my teacher wont let me make it up..I wasn't expecting on taking finance in summer school but thats whats gonna have to happen. I am so pissed at not only myself but my teacher. Hopefully I will get a better teacher this summer...I mean I know all the formulas and problems that we are doing now so it shouldn't be that hard....I hope??

Family Feud

Okay so after church service and after everybody getting out of their shitty sharp clothes(still don't know the purpose) our family did our annual BBQ at the park. Its a tradition that had been cast to the wayside a few years after my grandma passed. She truly was the glue holding our family together. But any who we finally got everyone together and we had a picnic at Overton park. All was good, All my aunts and most of my cousins my uncles and family were all there and it really was a good family get together. My frat brother Sean payed our family a visit which was nice. My boyfriend Jerome was unable to make it but that is understandable, he was with his family as well. But you get what I'm saying that everyone was getting along. So I hadn't really been paying attention to the ark or that the kids go to it to have fun but my little cousins did and two of them got jumped by grown women and men. Now these are two kids 13 and 14 and to get jumped by grown women and men has to make a parent mad. So they really didn't know it was that many of us in our family and got wrong so our family went down and literally whooped the mess out of those people. They pulled knives and so did we but I am not proud of all of this in fact i was the one on the phone with the police telling them the location and to come quick because of the fear of someone having a gun. But all i have to say about this situation is.....Don't mess with the Cooper Family.. My grandma didn't raise no fools...LMAO!!

Easter

Okay so I had a great weekend in Memphis I guess. I know the reason for the season will always be Jesus and bless his name because I love him so much for dying for not only me but for the entire world. I know this may sound strange but my pastor is getting older and his message is more of I have lived my life and ready to go home. I mean he speaks more of death than to relay the message of hope to change your life around. I guess I have went to churches up here in Murfreesboro enough to love the service here and when i go home its like blah....I love the lord and my church home and I want it to Prosper but with no message for me to take on during the week , no inspiration to get me going, no bible stories that give great examples...I'm lost for words.I hope everyone had a safe Easter..I know i some what didn't but that's another blog.

Law and Order

So , I believe I am addicted to law and order and not just SVU but Criminal Intent and the original Law and order episodes. I guess being in the house for these last couple of days not feeling well and really letting my illness get to me is the blame. I have been watching v like there is no tomorrow while being at home not doing anything and I also wonder what we have been doing in class. I have missed Tuesday but I will not miss Thursday.......Hey this is my first blog from home...I like it I will blog all night maybe.

Twitter

HAHA, I know I said I would never use Twitter but I'm eating my words now. I guess i was afraid to steer away from my precious face book and all my 1,291 friends on face book, but I guess new technology is scary for some people. I guess I'm one of those people. Okay so on the 29 of March i got on twitter. I must say it was a trial getting use to the twitter language and I'm no pro just yet but i have 39 followers and i love them. I mean most of them are my blue and white fam but that's all good. I love my Z-phiiiii. I'm excited about twitter though...I have been on it so much i hardly ever be on facebook..I am apart of the twit phenom....I cant complain but now my goal is to get more followers!! Neural Network Technology

In class today we used the NueralClassifier to turn data into knowledge. This program turns raw data literally into graphs and useable information. More to come on this amazing program!
