Arriving in the Windy City

Friday the 22nd of January was also steered away from school and studying all of my six classes. I did miss my Operations Management class today and also another quiz but I am sure I will catch up on my reading. Friday morning the arrival time into Chicago, IL was suppose to be at 9:00am but ended up being 9:30 am but it was cool. We ate a nice breakfast on the train Cafe which was a full service restaurant. Upon arriving into the train station there was a problem with the car rental which resulted in more money being spent but a better Luxury car the new 2010 Lincoln MKZ from Alamo Car Rental Company. Also on this day the viewing of the Late Great Jerome Taylor was held. It was beautiful as well as the setting. It makes you appreciate life and the people around you. It made me realize love everyone cause one day your here and the next your gone. I love Jerome's family, they treat me like their own and we also had the famous Harold's chicken after and called it a night.

Trying Something New

Thursday the 21st of January was totally directed away from school. I spent the whole day with my sister Laken, who recently graduated from MTSU, my nephew Nick Jr, her son who will be 1 very soon on March 11, and also my cousin Eboney, who sense of humor was much needed that day. On this day I took my first train ride on the Amtrak to Chicago, IL and it was quite peaceful and much better than the Greyhound bus system.I really enjoyed this train ride with Jerome although we slept mostly the whole night.

Learning to Blog

Wednesday I see now is going to be a very stressful day. This Wednesday the 20th of January, a full day of classes and mostly all of them new to me. I have a Operations Management, Marketing and INFS 4790, the hardest class in the CIS major to me. On top of all the stress of school just starting I have to leave tonight for Memphis,TN to board a train tomorrow leaving for Chicago,IL to attend the funeral of my Father-In -Law. This could not have came at a worse time there have been so much death lately in both of our families. But back to the nature of my classes, In Operations Management we are starting with chapter two and when I return from Chicago we will be doing chapter 3. I will be very behind in this class. In marketing, we just started so nothing new but to read the first chapter. And lastly in Database Design he doesn't slow down for anyone so I will have to catch up and fast!
